Opening Day Jamboree 2019

First Day of the 2019-20 Season

Vancouver United FC is bringing back the Opening Day Jamboree for our West Side U4-U10 First Kicks players. All of our players within that age group, including U9-U10 girls, will be playing small sided games this Saturday, Sept 7th at Chaldecott Park.

Players are encouraged to come early and stay late, as we have arranged several activations and a barbecue for the occasion! Many of you have registered for specific time slots, though due to the extenuating circumstances we had to customize and alter the playing schedules for the day. Your playing time and field section is posted below. After this weekend your schedule will return to normal.

Players will be receiving their kit at the Jamboree. Please see details below.

We would like to thank Fratelli Bakery for supporting our celebration of our season opener. They have graciously agreed to bring their food truck to Chaldecott Park to ensure parents have the ability to get their early morning fix of coffee and sweets! Please make sure to pay them a visit and support your local youth soccer partner! Fratelli's is based on Commercial Drive, but you can check them out here

Date: Saturday, Sept 7

Time: Schedules for each team / age group are posted below; players will play one 40 minute game within this period.

Location: Chaldecott Park (4175 Wallace St, Vancouver)

Kit: U4-U5 players will receive their kit from the Kit Handout Tent. U6-U10 coaches will receive their kit from the same tent, and later distribute the kit their tent. We want to avoid having every U6-U10 player surrounding the tent.

Opening Day Jamboree Field Layout. Please enter from the west side of the park on Crown St- near Fratelli's food truck and the Information Tent. Do NOT enter the blue area, as that is the playing area.

Note: If you do not see your team on the schedule please do not panic. Some teams did not have enough players to form a team, so we are in the process of assigning players to available teams (any questions please contact U9-U10 players, if you have not been contacted by your coach that should happen sooner rather than later!
