Hello VanU Members, 

We hope you all have been enjoying your summer so far, relaxing, keeping cool and hydrated. It's hard to believe we are already into August. Here is some important information that you will want to make note of: 

Season Start Dates-Mark Your Calendars!

As we approach the end of summer, we start planning for our Fall/Winter season.Below are the start dates for each of our programs:

All Divisional practices start Tuesday, September 6th (U11 - U18 teams)

Second Kicks practices start Tuesday, September 6th (U9 and U10 teams)

First Kicks Chaldecott starts Saturday, September 10th (U6 - U8 teams)

First Kicks McInnes starts Saturday, September 10th (U4 and U5 players)

Hillcrest Program starts Sunday, September 11th (U4-U8 players)

First Divisional games will be the weekend of September 10th/11th (U11 - U18)

Second Kicks games will start September 10th/11th (U9 and U10)

Teams should be receiving their practice allocations from their coaches this week. We thank everyone for their patience as we have been resolving some critical field issues with our permit holders.

For those who have not registered for the 2022-23 season we still have space in our First Kicks and Second Kicks programs as well as on many of our divisional teams. Please go here to register:

VanU Summer Camps

Summer Camp season is going well, we hope those members who have attended have enjoyed them as much as we have. We still have room in most age groups for the remaining camps. For more info and to register please go here: https://vancouverunitedfc.com/summer-camps

Academy Programming

VanU is pleased to be running its Academy programming this Fall. Registration will be opening on Friday, August 12th at 10am. Further details will be sent out to families this week with times and locations.

Used Kit Sale

We will be running a used kit sale this season for those who wish to purchase any additional items. All proceeds will be going to the VanU Community Fund which helps support families with their registration fees who need it.

If you have any of the following items that no longer fit your child please drop them off to our Chaldecott Park Storage location (Wallace Street) where we will be on Tuesday, August 16th, Wednesday, August 17th and Thursday, August 18th between 1:30pm - 3pm. Please ensure items are washed and dried and in good condition.

If you would like to drop off any unwanted Cleats at this time we will also be collecting these for A4K who distribute them to families who are in need. 

We will provide further details of the sale location and time towards the end of August.
