PRACTICE FIELDS

Southlands All Weather: The light box is on the East side of the field. There are two boxes mounted on a pole, one box is a master shut off (coaches should ignore that one), the other has two buttons. Push the on button, the lights then take a minute to warm up and start. Shut off is automatic at 11:00 but coaches should turn off if finished significantly earlier than 11:00. The on off box is unlocked.

Kerrisdale All Weather: To activate the lights on the Kerrisdale fields, open the light box (open the bottom cover of the electrical box on the light pole on the Lower field near the entrance) and turn the switch full on for the Lower field, and also press the red button for the Upper field (the Lower field lights have to be on before the Upper field lights will go on). There is also a light box for the Upper Field behind the baseball diamond which is unlocked, press green button to turn on.

Carnarvon All Weather: To activate the lights on the Carnarvon field, the light box is on the wall of the school. Just push the button once open to turn on the lights.

Queen Mary All Weather: To activate the lights at Queen Mary, the box is on a light pole at the SE corner of the field. You require a coach's key to open the box. Just push the green button once open to turn on the lights.

Queen Elizabeth All Weather: The first team on and last team off the field must turn the lights on and off, respectively. The small light box is affixed to the east side of the larger stand alone electrical box at the end of the walkway off Camosun Street. It is light greenish in colour on the north-east side of the portables, bordering the gravel and the paved play area. Please be very careful to press the green switch very firmly to turn the light on. Only press once - the lights will take some time to warm up. Pressing the button twice in less than 5 minutes will turn the lights off and you will have to wait 5 minutes before starting over again. You will need a key to open this box which can be obtained from the VUFC office.
